My name is Riley Kraft. I'm originally from California, but I moved to Iowa when I was young. Ever since I was little, I've had the desire to create something that would make people happy. I found that through painting and drawing.
Every artist finds inspiration somewhere. I find mine in music and manga. I base many of my drawings and paintings on hip-hop album covers because they are iconic and recognizable. I love capturing that imagery in my own way.
One artist I especially admire is Hirohiko Araki. His artwork changed the landscape of anime and manga. Not only has his work been featured in the Louvre, but he has also collaborated with designer brands such as Gucci.
I admire many different artists, but one of my favorites is Roc—yes, that's his name. I went to camp with him for a long time. Over the past year, I realized that he is one of the best painters I have ever met, especially for his age.
I chase greatness in my art, and I always want to improve. Painting and drawing bring me happiness, and I want to share that happiness through my work. I draw what makes me happy, but recently, I have also started thinking about painting what makes other people happy.
My art includes many different subjects, such as manga, anime, musicians, and album covers. All of these things bring me joy. Through my artwork, I hope to share what makes me happy and, in doing so, make other people happy too.
